Good Day Everyone, I am Dr. Esther A. Gordon-David the CEO and Consultant of “A New Outlook Consulting Services, LLC a virtual/in-person business. We provide consulting services for individuals/families/businesses in the areas of General Consulting, Personal Development, Mobile Notary Services, Resume Building, Grant Writing, Career Consultation, High School/University Completion, Family Dynamics, Conflict Resolution, Self-Care Management, Professional Development Training for: staff, students, employees, businesses, individuals, Business Marketing, Business Development, General Financing, and Self-Care Management.
Our business is unique because we thrive on empowering individuals/businesses. When they receive our consulting services, they will obtain tailored consulting solutions. Our primary focus is understanding their unique needs so that we can deliver strategies that drive their individual/business growth and effectiveness. Our primary focus is to “Impact Lives One Person at a TIME”

Before reaching out to the SBDC, I was overwhelmed with not having a mentor to assist me when I was going through rough days in my business. There were times when I needed someone that understood business dynamics that could be able to guide me during my uncertain days. I reached out to individuals that I know who run their own business for assistance, but I never received any clear instructions about how I should proceed. I was stuck with a dream without goals, finances to pursue those goals, a business plan, guidance from someone who could lead me down a correct path in order for my business to thrive. I remember it like it was yesterday, an individual invited me to attend an SBA training about 2 years before when I talked about wanting to start my own business. I looked back in my email and found the link and then visited the SBDC office for assistance.

I recalled attending a workshop with SBDC in the past. As soon as I started to have doubts about continuing with my business, I decided to look through my email to find their contact information. When I first connected with SBDC, I was expecting to receive a one-time phone conversation along with suggestions for building my business.

I received a wealth of information about my business from SBDC. I was able to walk into the office and receive assistance with setting up my online platform. I was also able to schedule an appointment with a mentor that would be able to answer the questions that I had. All the services were most helpful to me. I met with a mentor that had the skills that I needed to include financial assistance, business planning, business marketing, and business social. The advisors truly supported my business as they gave me hope for continuing when I wanted to quit!

With the support that I received from the SBDC, I was able to attend networking events and shared ideas with like minded individuals. My business changed because of this. I learned that a business plan is not just a one-time plan but that it has to be reviewed consistently to set and achieve future goals that will help my business to thrive.

Since working with SBDC, I have been able to improve my business strategy, identify goals that are attainable, and build rapport with mentors that are professional, timely, and resourceful. The suggestions that were made by my mentors, to include attending business networking events where I learned several business tips and met individuals that were also eager to share their business strategies, was very helpful for me. I continue to build my business as I have volunteered in the community, gotten my business name recognized in my community, and plan to fulfill one of my business goals – hosting a youth program.

My future goal is to continue to assist my clients with consulting experiences by creating a welcoming and supportive environment while they seek the guidance that they need to assist with navigating their challenges. I am eager to continue to create and build my online presence with the creation of my business FB, Tik Tok, website, and email. I’m excited about the trajectory of my business as I focus on creating a youth program within my community.
